Q
2008 16.3h Hanoverian gelding
Shown as “Quanto Costa,” Q was given to Ampara in 2017 due to some behavioral issues. He has since blossomed at A Training Vision and is Ampara’s current competition mount. In his first year of competition with Ampara, Q earned multiple High Scores at First Level, an overall show Reserve High Score with a 74%, a sixth place at CBLM Championships, and both VADA/Nova and Virginia State Year End Reserve Championships at First Level. Competing at Third Level in 2019, Q and Ampara again earned multiple High Scores with scores up to 72%, third place at CBLM Championships, and Year End Championships for both VADA/Nova and the state of Virginia.
In following years, Q was either VADA/Nova Year End Champion or Reserve in every level from Fourth through Intermediare-II. In the 2022, the same year that Q helped then ATV assistant trainer earn both her USDF Bronze and Silver Medal scores, he also made his Grand Prix debut. Q rounds out his training program with hacking out and cross country jumping. Though currently unavailable for lessons, Q’s snuggly, puppy dog personality makes him a barn favorite for all ATV riders.
